Jane Lois (Leder) Slattery was born December 30th, 1958 to Alfred E. and Esther L. (Schulze) Leder, in Merrill, Wisconsin and died May 10th, 2013 at the Rock County Hospital in Bassett, Nebraska at the age of 54.
She was united in marriage to Steven C. Slattery on May 7th, 1978 in Bassett. To this union four children were born, Jennifer Lea , Jason Ray, Sarah Jean and Steven Thomas. Jane had a love for her grandchildren! She also loved to go bowling, cooking and gardening.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Esther, brother, Jim Leder, father-in-law, Thomas Slattery and a brother-in-law, Mark Slattery. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Steven C. Slattery of Bassett, her children, Jennifer Slattery of O'Neill Nebraska, Jason Ray (Lynn) Slattery of Bassett, Sarah Jean (Clifford) Thurston and Steven Thomas (Rebecca) Slattery both of Norfolk, Nebraska. Grandchildren Alicia, Marcus, Katelyn, Emily, Clifford, Clare, Caydence, Carlie, Clive, and Clint. Brothers, John (Phyllis) Leder and Jerry (Millie) Leder of Mosinee Wisconsin, Jay (Joyce) Leder of Mercer, Wisconsin, and Jeff (Debbie) Leder of Weston, Wisconsin. Sisters, Joan Haase, and Judy Borman both of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, and Jill (Ernest) Rosenow of Almond Wisconsin. Mother-in-law, Dorthy Slattery of Wickenburg, Arizona, two brothers-in-law, Mike (Karen) Slattery of Mosinee Wisconsin and Pat (Jeanne) Slattery of Stuart Nebraska, Five Sisters-in-law, Marsha Stamp of Elk Point, South Dakota, Rena (Tim) Koeneke, Janice (Rod) Hackett both of Wickenburg Arizona, Robin (Dennis) Goering of Auburn Nebraksa, and Krista (Jerry) Railsback of Wickenburg, Arizona, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services were held on May 15, 2013, at the Assembly of God Church in Bassett, Nebraska with Pastor Brent Graves officiating over the service. Music was provided by Getchen Swinney. CD selections of "I Can Only Imagine" and "Thy Word" were also provided. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Hoch Funeral Home of Bassett was in charge of the arrangements.
