Obituary

Helen Elizabeth “Beth”(Hinch) Kietzman was born an only child to Theodore and Mildred (Mathis) Hinch in Tulsa, OK on August 2, 1947. She “flew west” from this world on October 13, 2026, at home in Higbee, MO. Beth completed school in Stigler, OK in 1965 and married her high school sweetheart, John P. Kietzman II that same summer on August 14, 1965.

Throughout the years, Beth did many things. She graduated from Draughon School of Business in Tulsa and then worked for the telephone company. She did a fair amount of the farming, was a customer harvester and worked as a CNA in Bassett, NE. These were all jobs, but the thing she was best at was being our mom.

John’s job with the airlines kept them moving around the U.S. until farming and children entered their lives. They farmed in Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska and during this time, they had two children, Robert and Kathryn.

Beth was born in Oklahoma and was an “Okie” through and through. She was so proud of being from Oklahoma, it made us proud for her. She was the very first in the family to get her private pilot’s license. She was an amazing grandmother to her three grandkids, Mickal, Mia and Addison and she really loved being a grandma. You could see her light up when she was spending time with them. While in Nebraska, Beth also became interested in quilting and ignited a passion. She made so many beautiful quilts, throws, and hangings that will be treasured.

In 2020, the Kietzman’s moved back to Missouri and Beth continued to take care of the family and all the bookwork for the family businesses as she had done for decades. She was involved in her church, Timberlake Christian Church in Moberly, MO which she really enjoyed. She and John also had four dachshunds they were absolutely in love with.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Mildred; mother-in-law, Margaret Kietzman; father-in-law, John Kietzman; and brother-in-law, Karl Kietzman. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Kietzman II; her son, Robert Kietzman and his daughter Addison Kietzman, and her daughter, Kathryn (Mike) Crisman and their children, Mickal and Mia.

A Private Family Graveside Service was held on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 in the Grandview Cemetery at Long Pine. Pastor Dick Wallace officiated at the event. The music selections of “Grief Is Only Love” by Stephen Wilson Jr. and “Amazing Grace” by Alan Jackson were played. Casketbearers were: Mike Crisman, Mickal Crisman Jr., Shon Steskal and Travis Petska. Memorials were suggested to the family in Beth’s name for a future designation.
