Cheri A. (Bair) Coleman

May 12, 1954 — December 21, 2021

Cheri Ann (Bair) Coleman of Woodland Park, Colorado, was born on May 12, 1954 at Ainsworth, Nebraska. Cheri went home to meet her precious Lord and Savior on December 21, 2021.
Cheri was the beloved daughter of John (Jack) and Beryl Bair. Cheri grew up on the family ranch and attended school in Bassett, Nebraska until 1968 when her parents and two sisters, Kathy and Chandra, moved to Denver, Colorado. Cheri attended Silver State for two years until the family returned back to the ranch. Cheri graduated from Rock County High School in the spring of 1972.
On April 14, 1973, Cheri married David Allen Coleman. To this union, Heather Dawn (Coleman) Hennings and Joni Coleman were born. Heather and Sean Hennings of Kearney, Nebraska have a daughter Peyton (10). Joni Coleman has two sons, Chase Mikesell (22), and Dylan Mikesell (19).
Because of Cheri's love for the mountains, she and Dave moved to Lake George, Colorado in 1982 where she continued as a wife and mother and also became licensed cosmetologist, cutting and styling hair in her own beauty salon in her home. In 1990, Cheri began pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a registered nurse, studying long hours and commuting countless miles to Colorado Springs where she graduated in 1993. Cheri worked for more than 25 years as a dedicated nurse where she was known by all her patients and coworkers for her compassion and excellent care. She received numerous awards for her work in the Cardiology Department and in 2004 was even a finalist to receive the distinguished Florence Nightingale Award for her “exemplary service and pioneering spirit.”
Cheri married Dale Gemaehlich on July 16, 2018. Their love for horses and riding in the beautiful mountains was their passion in life especially after her retirement in 2020.
Cheri accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She loved God, her family, her horses, quilting, sewing, and being outdoors.
Cheri is preceded in death by her father, John (Jack) Bair. She leaves to mourn her passing, husband, Dale Gemaehlich; Dave Coleman and their daughters, Heather (Sean) Hennings; granddaughter, Peyton Hennings; daughter, Joni Coleman and grandsons, Chase and Dylan Mikesell; mother, Beryl Bair; her sisters, Kathy (Doug) Saar, Chandra (Wayne) Taylor, Karen (Gerry) Brown, and Kayla (John) Keck, along with many other family members.
