Beryl G. (Eberhart) Bair

June 4, 1936 — May 21, 2023

Beryl Gae (Eberhart) Bair, daughter of Clarence Merle and Minnie Josephine (Reyman) Eberhart, was born June 4, 1936 at the home of her parents in Long Pine, Nebraska. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior in 1941. She attended a country school, Bassett Grade School, and Rock County High School. Her favorite hobby was riding her horses for many years. On January 12, 1952, she was united in marriage to John Edward “Jack” Bair, each loving the Lord and one another deeply, and serving the Lord together for over 67 years. They were blessed with six daughters and sons-in-law, 22 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was the wife of a rancher, raising her loving family while caring for the parents. She also served Rock County, Nebraska as a Deputy Assessor, Clerk and Treasurer, as a secretary to an attorney for four years, a real estate title examiner, and a loan closer in Colorado. She and Jack were the girls’ dorm parents for two years at Nebraska Christian High School, and she later served as an administrator at Better Music Publications in Greenville, South Carolina for seven years.
Beryl went home to meet her precious Lord and Savior on May 21, 2023 in Loveland, Colorado at the age of 86 years, eleven months and 17 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; daughter, Cheri; brother, Steve Eberhart and sister-in-law, Laurel Eberhart; sister, Doris Sellin and brother-in-law, Duane Sellin; a sister, Betty Davidson, and brother-in-law, Merwyn Davidson; and her parents-in-law, John and Mable Bair. Beryl is survived by her five daughters, Kathy (Doug) Saar, Chandra (Wayne) Taylor, Karen (Gerry) Brown, Kayla (John) Keck, Tammy (Larry) Stoltzfus; 22 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews and other family members.


Funeral Services were held on Friday, May 26, 2023 in the Bassett Methodist Church. Pastor John Keck officiated at the service. Music arrangements involved Carolyn Clark and Audio/Video Solos by Brent Bartlett (Beryl’s Church Worship Leader) singing “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” and “He Lives” and Dr. Russell Risma (Beryl’s Friend) singing “My Mother’s Bible.” A Video Message by Pastor Dean Miller of Front Range Baptist Church in Ft. Collins, Colorado was played. Casketbearers were: Jesse Saar, Boe Searight, David Brown, Jonathan Brown, Austin Brown, Ethan Keck, Nathanael Keck and Elisha Keck. Memorials may be donated to the family in Beryl’s name for the medical needs of her great-great-grandson, Keith Kirkpatrick. Interment was in the Bassett Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Hoch Funeral Home of Bassett. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.hochfuneralhome.com .
