Neva O. Jacox

Neva Jacox of Ainsworth, Nebraska passed away on Novemer 9, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska at the age of 77 years. She was born on January 3, 1935 at Bassett, Nebraska, the daughter of Ray and Olive (Kesselring) Jacox.
After graduation from Rock County High School, Neva attended Chadron Teachers College. Miss Jacox was a devoted sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
Most of Neva's life was spent in Rock and Brown counties. When she retired from teaching, Neva had taught forty-three years. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Neva made her choice to serve the Lord and remained true to the special commitment for the rest of her life.
Neva is survived by two nieces, Dianne Shaw of Nevada, Missouri and Mary Coffield of Iola, Kansas. Nephew, Wilbur Jacox of Council Bluffs Iowa, and several cousins, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Amy Jacox and Lois Hoyle; and two brothers, Harvy and Don Jacox.
Funeral services were held on November 12, 2012 at the Hoch Funeral Home in Ainsworth, Nebraska. Officiating over the service were, Brad Stuefen, Julie Harthorn and Barbara Jacobs. Music was provided by Laurel Appleman. Congregational selections were "With the Lord", "Life's Short Story" and "Sweet, Sweet Release". Casketbearers were Glenn Coffield, Robert Shaw, Travis Coffield, John Appleman, Irvin Stouffer, Loren Appleman, Glen Kesselring and Pete Gepson. Burial was held at the Bassett Memorial Park Cemetery in Bassett, Nebraska. Memorials were suggested to the Ainsworth Sr. Center.
