Maynard R. Bourn

Maynard was born on July 28, 1915 in Creighton, Nebraska to William and Nellie (Stepanik) Bourn and passed away on March 21, 2013 at the Brown County Hospital in Ainsworth, Nebraska.
He married Marie R. (Cold) Bourn on March 29, 1937 at Long Pine, Nebraska. They were married for 73 years. Maynard farmed near Long Pine and Springview after he was married and raised his family, he also worked for the State of Nebraska and Brown County, and drove a cement truck before he retired. Maynard was a resident of the Ainsworth Care Center since 2005.
Maynard was preceded in death by his wife Marie, who passed away in 2010, his oldest son, Ralph J. Bourn who passed away in 1996. He is survived by his children; Gordon Bourn (wife Vicki) of Scottsdale Arizona, Bradley Bourn of Las Vegas Nevada and Lorraine Lopez of Ainsworth, Nebraska, (who was born on her father's birthday.) Seven grandchildren, Michael and Jake Bourn from Tennessee, Shane Bourn of California, Pat Bourn of Las Vegas, and John W. Cooksey (wife Olivia), Linda Ann Bourn and Kathy Bourn of Georgia. Seven great-grandchildren, Mary Marie Cooksey, Christina and Joe Hunter from Brentwood, California, Kellie, Bradley Christian and Elena Bourn.
Memorials services were held at the St. Pius X Catholic Church in Ainsworth, Nebraska on March 28, 2013. Father Jim Heithoff served as Celebrant. Music Selections of "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art" were provided. Inurnment was held at the Ainsworth Cemetery under the direction of Hoch Funeral Home of Ainsworth.
